Whitley Penn Acquires Texas CPA Firm Fisher, Herbst & Kemble

The team from San Antonio-based full-service accounting firm FHK will officially join top 40 firm Whitley Penn on Nov. 1.

On Nov. 1, the team from San Antonio-based accounting firm Fisher, Herbst & Kemble P.C. will officially join top 40 firm Whitley Penn.

Fort Worth-based Whitley Penn is acquiring FHK, a long-established CPA firm that provides audit, tax, and consulting services to clients, primarily financial institutions, construction companies, and retailers.

“We are thrilled to have the FHK team join Whitley Penn,” Larry Autrey, managing partner and CEO of Whitley Penn, said in a press release. “Expanding our presence into all major markets in the state of Texas is an incredible milestone. We believe that this integration will enable us to provide even more value to our clients, and we look forward to all the great things that we can achieve together.”

According to FHK, its clients have assets ranging from less than $1 million to more than $500 million.

Whitley Penn currently has eight offices in Texas and one in New Mexico.
