Head of Massachusetss CPA Society to retire

The Massachusetts Society of CPAs said today that CEO Theodore J. Flynn will retire at the end of the year, after spending 43 years at the helm of the organization.

Flynn will keep his leadership status until he retires and will assist the committee in selecting and transitioning to a new leader, officials said.

A search committee comprised of board members and MSCPA leadership will conduct the process to choose Flynn’s successor and will evaluate internal and external candidates for the job. The committee is expected to announce its decision in the fall.
